Spreading unrest in dark lands

(Whatitdo Archive Group is a Cinematic/Exotica/Funk band from Reno, NV, formed by Aaron Chiazza, Alexander Korostinsky and Mark Sexton; the movie itself was understood to be unusual for its time: a globetrotting adventure/western-noir written and directed by aspiring visionary, Stefano Paradisi. Unfortunately for Paradisi, the tragic loss of his masterpiece during a fire also meant the end of his short lived career in movies.

People who worked on the film have been cited as saying this film was very ambitious, set to be a turning point in Paradisi’s carrier putting him on the map alongside the likes of Sergio Leone and Antonioni; long thought to be lost alongside the movie itself by the production studio, the soundtrack's master reels were recently recovered and its audio meticulously restored and remastered by J.J. Golden in Ventura, CA., while the movie never saw the light of day, the soundtrack by Whatitdo Archive Group has thankfully been recovered).

Cantos para los guardianes de los Andes

(Yma Sumac (Zoila Emperatriz Chavarri del Castillo, 1922 - 2008) was a Peruvian soprano. She has also been called Queen of Exotica and is considered a pioneer of World music; blessed with a five-octave range, was presented by her composer/arranger Moises Vivanco as an Inca princess when she recorded Voice Of the Xtabay (1950), arranged by Les Baxter.

She had been born in the mountains near Cuzco, was discovered by Vivanco in 1947 (who was already an established composer) and married by him at 15, she debuted in Lima the same year; in 1949 the couple moved to the USA, where he successfully created a myth around the singer).

TKDE started off as an audiovisual project back in 2000, influenced by old silent movie directors such as Murnau and Lang, but also the animations of Jan Svankmeijer or the films of the Quay Brothers. Jason Köhnen and Gideon Kiers, started creating soundtracks to old silent movies (Nosferatu, Metropolis) and progressively composed new music inspired by these images which eventually became TKDE. Trombone player Hilary Jeffery (originally from the UK, residing in Amsterdam) joined in 2004 and introduced Swiss born Nina Hitz).

Practice the Exotic Satanism (Repost)

This six piece collective of musicians is renown for playing some of the most "out there" music out there; exotic, psychedelic, post-modern, avantgarde, esoteric, experimental and so on and so forth are all adjectives that only do half justice to the orgy of sound, visions and moods that this band stirs up with their work.
