Four praises to the hidden universe
(Der Blutharsch is the primary musical project of Austrian musician Albin Julius; Originally a side project to The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud, the early recorded material was very dark ambient in sound, heavy on historic samples and post-industrial
melodic drones. As the discography progressed, the material became more
lively, with the more bombastic approach and a focus on a form of martial industrial
with emphasis on neoclassical instrumentation combined with
experimentalism. Subject matter and imagery largely derived from
historical topics relating to the history of Germanic Europe. Now the band is formed by
Albin Julius,
Jörg Buchmüller,
Marthynna,
Mazo Tomez and Natascha Schampus.
Aluk Todolo is a Grenoble based
french instrumental power trio performing Occult Rock since 2004. Their
music is a methodical exploration of the powers of musical trance. Part
occult black metal fend and part snide kraut menace, the band conjures
rabid obsessive rhythms and abyssal disharmonic guitars, subliminal
spiritualist vibrations and bizarre, magick summonings. Aluk Todolo
reduces psychedelic improvisation to a bare, telluric instrumentation,
in which dry, spare percussion grievously mines the scrapes, shrieks and
shimmer of mutated guitar and bass. The band’s sound is monolithic and
stabbing, hypnotic but unpredictable, minimalist yet teeming.
The name was brought back from a mountainous region of South Sulawesi in
Indonesia, it’s an ancient religion with animist beliefs meaning "The Way of the Ancestors").

In the beginning there was a light... an still it's so good
(Sonic Youth was an American rock band based in New York City, formed in 1981. Founding members Thurston Moore (guitar, vocals), Kim Gordon (bass, vocals, guitar) and Lee Ranaldo (guitar, vocals) remained together for the entire history of the band, while Steve Shelley (drums) followed a series of short-term drummers in 1985, and rounded out the core line-up.
The band emerged from the experimental no wave
art and music scene in New York before evolving into a more
conventional rock band and becoming the most prominent of the American noise rock groups. Sonic Youth have been praised for having "redefined what rock guitar could do" using a wide variety of unorthodox guitar tunings and preparing guitars with objects like drum sticks and screwdrivers to alter the instruments' timbre. The band is considered to be a pivotal influence on the alternative and indie rock movements).

Tales from the cold winter land
(Tony Wakeford (Anthony Charles Wakeford) is an English neofolk and neoclassical musician who primarily records under the name Sol Invictus. He started his music career as bassist in '77 British punk band Crisis. In 1980 Crisis disbanded and Wakeford formed Death In June together with guitar player Douglas Pearce.
In 1984, after being asked to leave, he formed his own personal project, called Above The Ruins. The music continued in the vein of early Death In June and Joy Division,
with a nervous and dramatic post-punk sound. The new band disbanded
quite soon. He came back in 1987 with Sol Invictus, involving Ian Read and shortly later Karl Blake of Lemon Kittens and Shock Headed Peters.
The music of Sol Invictus on the first recordings was a mixture of
acoustic and electronic sounds, creating some epic and dramatic songs
which stand against the decadence of the West and of modern society. He's also active with the project L'Orchestre Noir, HaWthorn, and a series of collaborations with different artists).
Dancing with Lilith in a carnival festivity
(Ordo Equilibrio was a Stockholm based personal project of swedish multi-instrumentalist
Tomas Pettersson. Formed in 1993, their sound is a kind of
gothic, icy, desolate electronica, although the terrifying atmosphere is
occasionally lit by medieval-sounding acoustic ballads; the anti-Christian concepts in their albums delved into a form of profane folk
inspired by Death In June).

FSA were able to create a small but enthusiastic fanbase as one of the more remarkable experimental bands of the day. The band were notable for recording most of their output at home into a normal home stereo system, avoiding recording studios as much as they could. This gave their music a DIY feel and gave them the freedom to experiment as much as they wanted).
