(Thurston Moore (25/9/1958, Coral Gables, Florida) is a guitarist and vocalist; he lived in New York City for most of
his music career and was taught guitar by Glenn Branca. Thurston is best known as the guitarist and vocalist of Sonic Youth which he co-founded in 1981 with his ex-wife bassist Kim Gordon. In addition to performing music, he also runs the Ecstatic Peace! label).
